A response to the article by Mr. Mahinda Pathirana that appeared on 5th Nov 2014 has to be postponed as politics takes precedence over philosophy. It is clear that Mr. Pathirana understands the word, ‘after’, with respect to time and not with respect to any other variable. The word after can be used even with respect to space and in fact it can be engaged with respect to elements in a set, which have a property that can be mapped on to the real line (numbers).
