The Director General of Sports, Ranjani Jayakody, states that it is uncertain whether the sportsmen and women who won medals at 2014 Asian Para Games will be offered financial rewards.
She states that it can be decided if the players will be offered financial rewards after appointing a committee to study the matter.
Sri Lankan players were able to secure 1 gold medal, 6 silver medals and 7 bronze medals at Asian Para Games held in Korea.
Over 40,000 players representing 41 countries participated in the tournament.
