He has not received any response from the Registrar of the Supreme Court regarding the written request he made to her requesting the inquiry regarding the questions referred by President Mahinda Rajapaksa from the Supreme Court says the Secretary of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) Ajith Pathirana.
Speaking at a media conference held in Colombo today (10th) Mr. Pathirana further said in his letter he had requested more time and an opportunity to make oral submissions regarding the relevant matter.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa has asked for a determination from the Supreme Court whether he could contest for a third term and whether a presidential election could be called before his second term ends.
