The Old Boys Association of Ananda College today removed itself from the press notice which showed up on daily papers yesterday (27) supporting President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Addressing Asian Mirror, Lalith Senanayake, President of the Old Boys Association said it had nothing to do with the notice and the College OBA never completed a promoting fight supporting any of the presidential hopefuls.
The ad, distributed by a gathering of Ananda College Old Boys Union (aadi shishya sansadaya), helps the candidature of President Mahinda Rajapaksa and embraces his popular claim on the "hot seat."
Addressing Asian Mirror, a representative of the OBA said there were just two authority associations of which the old young men of the school are parts - the Old Boys Association and the School Development Committee.
"We are not mindful of some other association" the representative included. In this manner, the personality of the new "old young men relationship" of Ananda College remains a puzzle.
