Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage has lodged a complaint with the Mirihana police against a caller who made defamatory remarks against him at the TV Derana Wada Pitiya programme last night.
The Minister in his complaint to the police has stated that the caller made the defamatory remarks against him, and called for a police investigation to disclose person’s whereabouts in order to file a defamatory case.
Police Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana said that the police will conduct its investigations based on the details given in the complaint.
Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Ramesh Pathirana MP, Ajith. P. Perera of the United National Party (UNP) and Sunil Handunnetti (JVP) participated to the programme.
