The UNP, JHU, Democratic Party and several other civic organisations have launched out on a protest against election violations at the Election Commissioner's office.
They charged that despite several electronic media stations violating the election law, no action has been taken against them by the Elections Commissioner.
UNP MPs Eran Wickremaratne and Sujeewa Senasinghe along with the JHU's Champika Ranawaka and Anoma Fonseka from the Democratic Party were among those who led the protest.
