Jagoda is the 27th Parliamentarian to desert from the decision party subsequent to the report of the presidential race. Likewise, he is the third UPFA National List Parliamentarian to join the basic restriction.
A previous Parliamentarian of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna, Jagoda absconded from the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna, alongside Wimal Weerawansa. Jagoda was one of the establishing parts of the National Freedom Front, drove by Wimal Weerawansa. He then joined the United People's Freedom Alliance.
He was additionally named as the Deputy Minister of Tourism by the UPFA government.
