Previous president Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaranatunga is to be delegated as the leader of the Advisory Council of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party by its Central Committee.
The Advisory Council will have the ability to roll out improvements to the current Constitution of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).
The names of Kumaranatunga alongside present President Maithripala Sirisena, previous President Mahinda Rajapaksa, ex-Prime Ministers Ratnasiri Wickremanayake and DM Jayaratne were advanced as potential possibility for the post.
The SLFP's Executive Council and its All-island Council are booked to meet today (February 14) to choose the last decision which will be Kumaranatunga as per inside Party sources.
