China's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying, reacting to the media questions at the general instructions on Thursday on the Sri Lankan government's choice to incidentally suspend the US$ 1.5 billion Colombo Port City Project, said the Sri Lankan government is checking on Chinese financed activities.
 The Spokesperson has clarified that amid the Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera's visit to China from February 27 to 28 at the welcome of Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Minister Samaraweera has guaranteed that Sri Lanka invites Chinese organizations' speculation and improvement in Sri Lanka.

"China comprehends and regards the endeavors made by the new Sri Lankan government to enhance the speculation environment, and accepts that the Sri Lankan side will legitimately resolve applicable issues and protect Chinese organizations' certainty to put resources into Sri Lanka in the general investments of China-Sri Lanka agreeableness and the essential premiums of Sri Lanka's national advancement," the representative has said.

She has included that the Sri Lankan side will stay in touch with the Chinese side on the audit consequence of China-related collaboration ventures.
