Basil Further Remanded

Kaduwela Magistrate Dhammika Hemapala today (10) requested to further remand previous Minister Basil Rajapaksa and three different authorities, who were captured on charges of misappropriation of Divi Neguma stores.

They were requested to be remanded until June 18.


Rajapaksa and the other senior service authorities were captured by the police on April 22 regarding a grumbling charging budgetary extortion in the Divi Neguma Department, which went under the domain of the Economic Development Minister.
