Lawful leeway has been encouraged to MP Wimal Weerawansa to travel to another country over Prime clergyman Ranil Wickremesinghe's mediation, Leader of the House - Lakshman Kiriella told Parliament today (22).
Kiriella was talking after MP Dinesh Gunewardena addressed in parliament regarding why Wimal Weerawansa was being addressed by the CID at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake.
The Prime clergyman had said that he is not able to intercede if the MP is being confined on a court request. Notwithstanding, the matter will be investigated on the off chance that he is being kept sans a court request, the Prime pastor has included.
The Leader of the House further expressed that Weerawansa had touched base at the air terminal with a travel permit that had been lost and later found in the wake of getting another international ID. Weerawansa had connected for another international ID in the wake of illuminating powers to wipe out his lost travel permit.
