He stated that most of the Opposition MPs, out of the 134 MPs who had supported the UNP Leader in his quest to become the President, during the vote in Parliament last July, would be compelled to continue to back the President.
Abeywardene added that when it comes to the third reading of the budget and its final vote, the current Opposition will more or less cease to exist and opined the entire House could come to a stage of supporting all endeavours of the President.
