In the midst of a lavish wedding in Shangri-la, a secret meeting of political VIPs was also held

Last night, a grand wedding ceremony was held at the magnificent Shangri-La Hotel on Galle Face.

It was the marriage of a prominent businessman’s son, and prominent businessmen and powerful politicians were present. 

A special political discussion was observed in a VIP room adjacent to the hall where the wedding ceremony took place. Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa was present, as was current President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s advisor Sagala Ratnayake, Johnston Fernando, and Pohottuwa Secretary General Sagara Kariyawasam.

This discussion lasted about an hour and a half.

It is also reported that another grand wedding ceremony with politicians will take place today at the Shangri-La Hotel.
