Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has stated that he was ready for early Presidential elections.
Addressing the executive committee of the combined opposition at a meeting today (15), Mr. Premadasa said that it was a wrong and undemocratic move to adjust the electoral calendar.
However, if the government hopes to bring a proposal to have early Presidential elections, the Opposition was willing to support such a move, he had said.
He also said that the SJB was ready to accept the challenge for an early Presidential election.
