It is reported that a very heated conversation took place between the Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena and the back row MPs of Pohottuwa today.
After the meeting of the ruling party MPs held in the Parliament today, a group of MPs from the back row of Pohottuwa have given a notice that a special discussion is needed immediately from the Prime Minister and that the officers present in the meeting should be removed.
However, Mr. Tissa Kuttiarachchi, the Member of Parliament for Pohottuwa, who is angry with the Prime Minister not giving him the opportunity, has strongly stated that if there is no discussion, today will be the last day of the government and that today will be the day to topple the government.
Accordingly, the Prime Minister, who has taken a step back, had taken steps to give a discussion to this group of MPs.
About 15 MPs from Pohottuwe participated in the discussion with the Prime Minister and at the beginning of the discussion, Mr. Tissa Kuttiarachchi pointed out that some ministers of the government do not care about the demands of the Pohottuwe MPs and they act arbitrarily.
Tissa Kuttiarachchi MP has taken steps to inform Dinesh that if the ministers continue to act in this way, the group including him will work to take a specific decision regarding the government in the upcoming budget.
