Water bill should be reduced forthwith – Sajith Premadasa

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa says that the country’s water tariff has been increased, saying that the country is getting out of trouble. 

He said this while speaking to the media at the Opposition Leader’s office yesterday (3). 

 

He pointed out that increasing the water bill by 50% is an arbitrary act of oppressing the people and questioned how the country can be recovered by placing the burden on the people. The Opposition Leader said here that the people will suffer more after the gas price increases soon, the Government has no feeling for the people and the Government has even violated the people’s right to live.

The Opposition Leader further stated that there is a doubt whether this is an anti-people genocidal Government and the increased water bill should be reduced immediately.
