Failed in both laboratory tests! 40,000 metric tons of Substandard Diesel brought from Singapore is ready to be distributed!

It was revealed to Aruna that the diesel was prepared for distribution from Kolonnawa for consumption, despite two laboratory test reports confirming that the fuel samples of the fuel transport ship Fos Power, which brought forty thousand metric tons of diesel to the port of Colombo, were not in the proper condition.

This inspection report has been inspected and provided at the request of Ceylon Indian Oil Company.

The inspection report bearing LIOC/2023/07 was first taken yesterday (05).

Aruna told a senior official of the Petroleum Corporation that although the inspection report taken yesterday (06) was found to be of inferior quality, it was decided to distribute the oil.

He said that this was revealed during the inspection of diesel samples loaded from 1p, 1S, 3P, 3S, 5P, and 5S tanks of the “Fos Power” ship. This ship carrying forty thousand tons left Singapore on October 30 and arrived at Colombo port on November 5.
